Feeds for feed readers and email, plenary dates in your calendar

A feed reader fetches new entries by itself, with no account and no newsletter. OpenRCV does not learn who is reading.

Feed for…

Every MEP, political group, country, topic with five or more votes and procedure has its own feed. It reports new votes, speeches and dates.

By email

If you prefer to read updates in your inbox, enter the feed address at a service that delivers feeds by email. Several providers offer such services, free or paid. OpenRCV does not recommend any particular one.

  1. Search for a feed under “Feed for…” above and choose “Copy feed address”.
  2. At the email service, add a new feed and paste the address.
  3. If offered, choose how often emails arrive, for instance immediately, daily or weekly.

The service then knows your email address and the feeds you subscribe to. OpenRCV itself learns nothing about it. Some email programs also read feeds directly, without an extra service.

No feed reader yet?

Free options include NetNewsWire for Mac, iPhone and iPad, or Feedly and Inoreader in the browser; Thunderbird and Outlook also read feeds. Choose “Add feed” there and paste the copied address.

The feeds contain the final roll-call votes, the feeds per procedure every item put to a roll-call vote, and the feeds per MEP also vote corrections in all roll-call votes. All roll-call votes, including those on amendments, are available under Download data.

Calendars

The plenary dates in Apple Calendar, Outlook or Google Calendar. A subscribed calendar keeps itself up to date, with no account. OpenRCV does not learn who subscribes.

Calendar per procedure

Every procedure that has come before the plenary since 2025 has its own calendar with all debates and votes, for instance for a law across several readings. You find it in the agenda behind the calendar symbol of the item, as well as each single event as a file.

Good to know

  • OpenRCV renews the calendars hourly from 7:00 to 22:00. Calendar apps check less often, some only once a day. The latest state is on the Plenary page.
  • The agenda remains a draft until the plenary week. Upcoming items appear as provisional, with the planned time slot rather than an exact time. If an item is dropped, it appears as “Cancelled”.
  • “Subscribe” opens the calendar app on this device. In Google Calendar and Outlook on the web, paste the copied address under “From URL” or “Subscribe from web”.
  • Times are those of Brussels and Strasbourg. Your calendar app shows them in your own time zone.
